yes, both the upper and lower receiver are metal, cocking tube is metal, trigger, heat sink plate, barrel, flash hider, iron sights, mag release, almost every internal part is metal (I know, I've stripped mine down to the bare gearbox). The only parts that are plastic are the pistol grip, stock, and the handguard. It is a truely amazing gun, I have had it for 3 years now and I have never had one problem with it

Np. I have no idea about the MX5-P, i didn't even know they had a new gun out. That three round burst is pretty cool though. Sorry!

@MichaelJacksonpoop It can probably fit a mini 10.8v. Depends how long the battery is. Before you get a 10.8v battery though, you need to install metal bushings, tune and shim the gearbox, install heavv duty wires, deans plugs, remove the fuse, and basically beef up your existing electronics. After you do that see what your ROF is like... you might not want the extra battery voltage.

The plastic sportline, is cool, but I prefer the plain M15A4, full metal, my friend has a sportline, and sometimes I switch with him, being it is lighter, although it is plastic, it is the highest level of ABS you can get, so you shouldn't be playing and thinking it will break on you.I do have a question though, does the Echo 1 mag fit into the m15, because I was searching online, and everyone says the Echo 1 has a better quality mag and is cheaper, please respond asap, I really need to know...
